# Ergomotion vs OKIN smart remote

The clearest difference is rating: Ergomotion at 1.6 against OKIN smart remote's 1.0. Ergomotion also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 8 months) and ratings volume (10 vs 2). OKIN smart remote's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 9%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Ergomotion holds the better App Store score, 1.6 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ergomotion has 10 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 9% of Ergomotion's written reviews are positive against 50% of OKIN smart remote's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Ergomotion ships an update every 2 months, OKIN smart remote every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 27, 2026 respectively.
