# Liox vs FriedrichGo

The clearest difference is rating: FriedrichGo at 4.7 against Liox's 3.8. FriedrichGo also leads on ratings volume (3.2K vs 27). Liox's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 22 months) and review sentiment (62% vs 38%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

FriedrichGo holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FriedrichGo has 3.2K ratings behind it against 27, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of Liox's written reviews are positive against 38% of FriedrichGo's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Liox ships an update monthly, FriedrichGo every 22 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
