# thl Roadtrip vs Trip Loop

The clearest difference is review sentiment: thl Roadtrip at 74% against Trip Loop's 27%. thl Roadtrip also leads on ratings volume (26 vs 3). Trip Loop's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 3.8) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Trip Loop holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: thl Roadtrip has 26 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 74% of thl Roadtrip's written reviews are positive against 27% of Trip Loop's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

thl Roadtrip ships an update every 3 months, Trip Loop every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
