# memono Journal vs My Notes

The clearest difference is ads: memono Journal at none against My Notes's shown. memono Journal also leads on ratings volume (301 vs 3). My Notes's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and update cadence (every 11 days vs every 6 weeks). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. memono Journal sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 3 months and My Notes sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

My Notes holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: memono Journal has 301 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 85% of memono Journal's written reviews are positive against 80% of My Notes's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

memono Journal ships an update every 6 weeks, My Notes every 11 days. Both last shipped on October 1, 2026.
