# Countout vs Aloha VPN

The clearest difference is rating: Countout at 5.0 against Aloha VPN's 4.3. Countout also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 10). Aloha VPN's advantage is ratings volume (351 vs 1) and update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 6 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Aloha VPN sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Countout asks for nothing beyond the download.

Countout holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Aloha VPN has 351 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Countout ships an update every 6 months, Aloha VPN every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
