# Countout vs Stopwatch Timer

The clearest difference is update cadence: Stopwatch Timer at every 4 days against Countout's every 6 months. Stopwatch Timer also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Countout ships an update every 6 months, Stopwatch Timer every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on September 13, 2026 and September 26, 2026 respectively.
