# Unimote vs TV Remote ◎ Smart Controller

The clearest difference is rating: Unimote at 4.1 against TV Remote ◎ Smart Controller's 3.3. Unimote also leads on ratings volume (30K vs 3). TV Remote ◎ Smart Controller's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 4 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Unimote sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and TV Remote ◎ Smart Controller sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Unimote holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Unimote has 30K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Unimote ships an update every 4 months, TV Remote ◎ Smart Controller every 10 days. Both last shipped on November 4, 2026.
