# Pattern Fun vs ZEN Block™

Pattern Fun and ZEN Block™ both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Pattern Fun's written reviews are positive against 60% of ZEN Block™'s. Pattern Fun also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 10) and ads (none vs shown). ZEN Block™'s advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 47 months) and ratings volume (45K vs 6). On price, rating and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ZEN Block™ sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Pattern Fun asks for nothing beyond the download.

Pattern Fun holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ZEN Block™ has 45K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of Pattern Fun's written reviews are positive against 60% of ZEN Block™'s.

Pattern Fun ships an update every 47 months, ZEN Block™ every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
