# CarViewer vs Cropy AI

The clearest difference is rating: Cropy AI at 4.8 against CarViewer's 4.0. Cropy AI also leads on ratings volume (399 vs 1) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). CarViewer's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and review sentiment (100% vs 75%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cropy AI sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. CarViewer asks for nothing beyond the download.

Cropy AI holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cropy AI has 399 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of CarViewer's written reviews are positive against 75% of Cropy AI's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

CarViewer ships an update every 2 months, Cropy AI every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
