# Color Match vs Pixword

The clearest difference is update cadence: Pixword at every 16 months against Color Match's every 39 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Color Match sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Pixword sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Color Match ships an update every 39 months, Pixword every 16 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
