# Colored Note vs TidalTask

Colored Note and TidalTask both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 86% of TidalTask's written reviews are positive against 54% of Colored Note's. Colored Note's advantage is ratings volume (5K vs 7) and update cadence (weekly vs monthly). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Colored Note against 4.6 for TidalTask. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Colored Note has 5K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 54% of Colored Note's written reviews are positive against 86% of TidalTask's.

Colored Note ships an update weekly, TidalTask monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
