# ParentSquare vs PowerSchool Mobile

The clearest difference is update cadence: ParentSquare at weekly against PowerSchool Mobile's monthly. PowerSchool Mobile's advantage is ratings volume (930K vs 78K). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for ParentSquare against 4.6 for PowerSchool Mobile. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PowerSchool Mobile has 930K ratings behind it against 78K, so its average is the more settled of the two.
