# BandPad vs Composer Pro

The clearest difference is rating: Composer Pro at 4.5 against BandPad's 3.7. Composer Pro also leads on ratings volume (693 vs 3) and device support. BandPad's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and review sentiment (100% vs 72%). On price there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Composer Pro sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. BandPad asks for nothing beyond the download.

Composer Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Composer Pro has 693 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of BandPad's written reviews are positive against 72% of Composer Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
