# Dragonpass vs Optiontown

The clearest difference is rating: Dragonpass at 4.7 against Optiontown's 3.9. Dragonpass also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (416 vs 84). Optiontown's advantage is review sentiment (25% vs 11%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Dragonpass holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.9. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 416 and 84 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 11% of Dragonpass's written reviews are positive against 25% of Optiontown's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Dragonpass ships an update weekly, Optiontown every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
