# Mylio Photos vs File Camera

The clearest difference is ads: Mylio Photos at none against File Camera's shown. Mylio Photos also leads on ratings volume (277 vs 6) and update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 6 months). File Camera's advantage is rating (4.3 vs 3.9). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mylio Photos sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $25.00 per month and File Camera sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

File Camera holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mylio Photos has 277 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 47% of Mylio Photos's written reviews are positive against 33% of File Camera's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Mylio Photos ships an update every 6 weeks, File Camera every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
