# Themeboard vs Fonts Theme

The clearest difference is rating: Fonts Theme at 4.6 against Themeboard's 2.5. Themeboard's advantage is review sentiment (40% vs 0%) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Themeboard sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Fonts Theme sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Fonts Theme holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 103 and 34 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of Themeboard's written reviews are positive against 0% of Fonts Theme's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Themeboard ships an update every 3 months, Fonts Theme every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
