# FishingGPS vs VoiceTimer Countdown

The clearest difference is update cadence: VoiceTimer Countdown at every 2 days against FishingGPS's every 3 months. FishingGPS's advantage is iOS requirement (15.6 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FishingGPS sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and VoiceTimer Countdown sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FishingGPS ships an update every 3 months, VoiceTimer Countdown every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
