# Hytexts eBook Store vs Fictionlog

The clearest difference is rating: Fictionlog at 4.8 against Hytexts eBook Store's 3.2. Fictionlog also leads on ratings volume (83 vs 9) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.6). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hytexts eBook Store sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Fictionlog sells 9 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Fictionlog holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fictionlog has 83 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 53% of Hytexts eBook Store's written reviews are positive against 46% of Fictionlog's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Hytexts eBook Store ships an update monthly, Fictionlog fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
