# Lumy vs Lightpath

The clearest difference is price: Lightpath at Free against Lumy's $7.99. Lightpath also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 79%). Lumy's advantage is ratings volume (2.4K vs 2) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 weeks). On rating, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Lightpath is free to download; Lumy costs $7.99 up front. Lumy sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Lightpath sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Lightpath holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lumy has 2.4K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 79% of Lumy's written reviews are positive against 100% of Lightpath's.

Lumy ships an update every 3 days, Lightpath every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
