# fanShare vs HKTVmall

The clearest difference is rating: fanShare at 5.0 against HKTVmall's 4.5. fanShare also leads on monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.0). HKTVmall's advantage is ratings volume (457 vs 1) and update cadence (weekly vs monthly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

fanShare holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HKTVmall has 457 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 15% of fanShare's written reviews are positive against 29% of HKTVmall's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

fanShare ships an update monthly, HKTVmall weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
