# Iceberg Ahead! vs Plane Simulator

The clearest difference is rating: Iceberg Ahead! at 5.0 against Plane Simulator's 4.5. Iceberg Ahead! also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Plane Simulator's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 25 months) and ratings volume (8K vs 2). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Iceberg Ahead! holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Plane Simulator has 8K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Iceberg Ahead!'s written reviews are positive against 24% of Plane Simulator's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Iceberg Ahead! ships an update every 25 months, Plane Simulator fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
