# Favorites Widget Pro vs App Lock

The clearest difference is monetization model: Favorites Widget Pro at free with in-app purchases against App Lock's subscription. Favorites Widget Pro also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 4 days vs fortnightly). App Lock's advantage is iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). Both are free to download. Favorites Widget Pro sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and App Lock sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for Favorites Widget Pro against 4.5 for App Lock. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3.8K and 5.3K respectively.
