# toriCAM vs Frame Grabber

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: toriCAM at none against Frame Grabber's 4. toriCAM also leads on iOS requirement (11.3 vs 15.0). Frame Grabber's advantage is ratings volume (3.1K vs 9) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 2 months). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Frame Grabber sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per year. toriCAM asks for nothing beyond the download.

Frame Grabber holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Frame Grabber has 3.1K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of toriCAM's written reviews are positive against 73% of Frame Grabber's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

toriCAM ships an update every 2 months, Frame Grabber every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
