# My Study Life vs FLIP

My Study Life and FLIP both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 88% of FLIP's written reviews are positive against 61% of My Study Life's. FLIP also leads on iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). My Study Life's advantage is ratings volume (6.2K vs 896). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. My Study Life sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and FLIP sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for My Study Life against 4.5 for FLIP. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: My Study Life has 6.2K ratings behind it against 896, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 61% of My Study Life's written reviews are positive against 88% of FLIP's.

My Study Life ships an update every 9 days, FLIP fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
