# My Study Life vs Cinch

The clearest difference is monetization model: My Study Life at free with in-app purchases against Cinch's subscription. My Study Life also leads on ratings volume (6.2K vs 1). Cinch's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. My Study Life sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Cinch sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Cinch holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: My Study Life has 6.2K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

My Study Life ships an update every 9 days, Cinch every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
