# MasterPOS Edge vs Workiz Field Service Software

The clearest difference is review sentiment: MasterPOS Edge at 100% against Workiz Field Service Software's 32%. MasterPOS Edge also leads on monetization model (free vs freemium) and iOS requirement (6.0 vs 17.0). Workiz Field Service Software's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.0) and update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Workiz Field Service Software holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Workiz Field Service Software has 2.2K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of MasterPOS Edge's written reviews are positive against 32% of Workiz Field Service Software's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MasterPOS Edge ships an update every 2 months, Workiz Field Service Software weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
