# LIGHTIFY vs Smart Lights, Wi

The clearest difference is rating: LIGHTIFY at 4.0 against Smart Lights, Wi's 3.3. LIGHTIFY also leads on ratings volume (2.4K vs 223) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). Smart Lights, Wi's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 26%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

LIGHTIFY holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LIGHTIFY has 2.4K ratings behind it against 223, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 26% of LIGHTIFY's written reviews are positive against 50% of Smart Lights, Wi's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
