# NRPA Events vs OpenGov EAM

The clearest difference is update cadence: OpenGov EAM at every 3 weeks against NRPA Events's every 7 months. OpenGov EAM also leads on review sentiment (20% vs 0%) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

NRPA Events holds the better App Store score, 3.6 against 3.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 9 and 38 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of NRPA Events's written reviews are positive against 20% of OpenGov EAM's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
