# 99 Problems vs DUAL!

The clearest difference is ratings volume: DUAL! at 2.4K against 99 Problems's 38. 99 Problems's advantage is rating (4.3 vs 4.1) and review sentiment (74% vs 65%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 99 Problems sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and DUAL! sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

99 Problems holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DUAL! has 2.4K ratings behind it against 38, so its average is the more settled of the two. Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
