# ALC SightHD vs Sight Bulb

The clearest difference is rating: Sight Bulb at 2.7 against ALC SightHD's 1.8. Sight Bulb also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 4 months) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 13.0). ALC SightHD's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Sight Bulb holds the better App Store score, 2.7 against 1.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 114 and 211 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 13% of ALC SightHD's written reviews are positive against 10% of Sight Bulb's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ALC SightHD ships an update every 4 months, Sight Bulb every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
