# 西窗烛 vs Tutorials for Illustrator

The clearest difference is rating: 西窗烛 at 4.9 against Tutorials for Illustrator's 4.1. 西窗烛 also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 months). Tutorials for Illustrator's advantage is iOS requirement (9.0 vs 14.0). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 西窗烛 sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Tutorials for Illustrator sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

西窗烛 holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 西窗烛 has 2.4K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two.
