# Sandboxx vs Plainview First

The clearest difference is update cadence: Sandboxx at every 2 weeks against Plainview First's every 5 months. Sandboxx also leads on ratings volume (176K vs 7) and chart position (#75 vs unranked). Plainview First's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (13.4 vs 17.6). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Sandboxx against 5.0 for Plainview First. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sandboxx has 176K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Sandboxx ships an update every 2 weeks, Plainview First every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and September 21, 2026 respectively.
