# Four Elements vs Words with Foxy

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Four Elements at 100% against Words with Foxy's 57%. Four Elements also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 9) and ads (none vs shown). Words with Foxy's advantage is update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 42 months) and ratings volume (127 vs 4). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Words with Foxy sells 9 one-off in-app purchases. Four Elements asks for nothing beyond the download.

Words with Foxy holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Words with Foxy has 127 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Four Elements's written reviews are positive against 57% of Words with Foxy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Four Elements ships an update every 42 months, Words with Foxy every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 10, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
