# Brilliant vs Codey

The clearest difference is ads: Codey at none against Brilliant's shown. Brilliant's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 4 months) and chart position (#90 vs unranked). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Brilliant sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month and Codey sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Brilliant ships an update weekly, Codey every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
