# Vizzywig vs REC

The clearest difference is monetization model: REC at free with in-app purchases against Vizzywig's subscription. Vizzywig's advantage is iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ratings volume there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Vizzywig sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and REC sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 3.8 for Vizzywig against 3.8 for REC. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 48 and 70 respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 48% of Vizzywig's written reviews are positive against 55% of REC's.

Vizzywig ships an update every 5 weeks, REC monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
