# Vizzywig vs Screen Recorder

The clearest difference is rating: Screen Recorder at 4.5 against Vizzywig's 3.7. Screen Recorder also leads on monetization model (freemium vs subscription) and ratings volume (33K vs 49). Vizzywig's advantage is review sentiment (48% vs 30%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Vizzywig sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Screen Recorder sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Screen Recorder holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Screen Recorder has 33K ratings behind it against 49, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 48% of Vizzywig's written reviews are positive against 30% of Screen Recorder's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Vizzywig ships an update every 5 weeks, Screen Recorder every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
