# Vizzywig vs Video Recorder Pro

The clearest difference is rating: Video Recorder Pro at 4.5 against Vizzywig's 3.8. Video Recorder Pro also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (weekly vs every 5 weeks). Vizzywig's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (48% vs 31%). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Vizzywig sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Video Recorder Pro sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Video Recorder Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Video Recorder Pro has 305 ratings behind it against 48, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 48% of Vizzywig's written reviews are positive against 31% of Video Recorder Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Vizzywig ships an update every 5 weeks, Video Recorder Pro weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
