# WBFJ FM vs Surge Fun

The clearest difference is rating: WBFJ FM at 5.0 against Surge Fun's 4.6. WBFJ FM also leads on monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). Surge Fun's advantage is ratings volume (93 vs 3) and update cadence (every 24 months vs every 57 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

WBFJ FM holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Surge Fun has 93 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

WBFJ FM ships an update every 57 months, Surge Fun every 24 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
