# Airtable vs Microsoft SharePoint

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Airtable at 59% against Microsoft SharePoint's 25%. Airtable also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.6). Microsoft SharePoint's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and chart position (#97 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Airtable holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Microsoft SharePoint has 141K ratings behind it against 25K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 59% of Airtable's written reviews are positive against 25% of Microsoft SharePoint's.

Airtable ships an update fortnightly, Microsoft SharePoint every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 15, 2026.
