# Fluency Calculator vs Speech Assist Switch

The clearest difference is price: Fluency Calculator at $5.99 against Speech Assist Switch's $24.99. Fluency Calculator also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 75%) and chart position (#147 vs unranked). Speech Assist Switch's advantage is rating (4.3 vs 3.0) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 6 months). On ratings volume, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Fluency Calculator costs $5.99 and Speech Assist Switch $24.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Speech Assist Switch holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2 and 3 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Fluency Calculator's written reviews are positive against 75% of Speech Assist Switch's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Fluency Calculator ships an update every 6 months, Speech Assist Switch every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
