# Metapho vs CertiPhoto

The clearest difference is review sentiment: CertiPhoto at 98% against Metapho's 61%. CertiPhoto also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 26.0). Metapho's advantage is ratings volume (2.1K vs 1) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Metapho sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per year and CertiPhoto sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CertiPhoto holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Metapho has 2.1K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 61% of Metapho's written reviews are positive against 98% of CertiPhoto's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
