# Metapho vs ImagExif 2

The clearest difference is price: Metapho at Free against ImagExif 2's $4.99. Metapho also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (2.1K vs 10). ImagExif 2's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On ads there is nothing between them.

Metapho is free to download; ImagExif 2 costs $4.99 up front. Metapho sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per year. ImagExif 2 asks for nothing beyond the download.

Metapho holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Metapho has 2.1K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 61% of Metapho's written reviews are positive against 77% of ImagExif 2's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Metapho ships an update every 2 months, ImagExif 2 fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
