# Makeup＋ vs Facey

Makeup＋ and Facey both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 72% of Makeup＋'s written reviews are positive against 35% of Facey's. Makeup＋ also leads on iOS requirement (7.0 vs 16.0). Facey's advantage is ratings volume (24K vs 733). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Makeup＋ sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Facey sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Makeup＋ against 4.5 for Facey. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Facey has 24K ratings behind it against 733, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 72% of Makeup＋'s written reviews are positive against 35% of Facey's.

Makeup＋ ships an update every 3 months, Facey every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
