# Simple Weather Widget vs Fresh Weather

The clearest difference is rating: Fresh Weather at 5.0 against Simple Weather Widget's 2.8. Simple Weather Widget's advantage is ratings volume (26 vs 2) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Simple Weather Widget sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 6 months and Fresh Weather sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Fresh Weather holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Simple Weather Widget has 26 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Simple Weather Widget ships an update every 6 weeks, Fresh Weather every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
