# Cheatsheet vs FlickType

The clearest difference is rating: Cheatsheet at 4.7 against FlickType's 4.0. Cheatsheet also leads on review sentiment (81% vs 39%). FlickType's advantage is ratings volume (12K vs 1.9K) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.4). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cheatsheet sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and FlickType sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Cheatsheet holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FlickType has 12K ratings behind it against 1.9K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 81% of Cheatsheet's written reviews are positive against 39% of FlickType's.

Cheatsheet ships an update fortnightly, FlickType every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
