# Wifi SmartSwitch vs TTLock

The clearest difference is rating: TTLock at 2.9 against Wifi SmartSwitch's 2.2. TTLock also leads on ratings volume (551 vs 6) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 weeks). Wifi SmartSwitch's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (43% vs 25%). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

TTLock holds the better App Store score, 2.9 against 2.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TTLock has 551 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 43% of Wifi SmartSwitch's written reviews are positive against 25% of TTLock's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Wifi SmartSwitch ships an update every 6 weeks, TTLock every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
