# PebbleBits vs Phantom

The clearest difference is rating: Phantom at 3.7 against PebbleBits's 2.3. Phantom also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs monthly). PebbleBits's advantage is review sentiment (29% vs 0%) and iOS requirement (7.0 vs 26.4). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Phantom holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 2.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 7 and 3 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 29% of PebbleBits's written reviews are positive against 0% of Phantom's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PebbleBits ships an update monthly, Phantom every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on September 24, 2026 and September 20, 2026 respectively.
