# Molarity Abacus vs Pocket Counter Pro

The clearest difference is update cadence: Pocket Counter Pro at monthly against Molarity Abacus's every 12 months. Pocket Counter Pro also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.5). Molarity Abacus's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 75%) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.0). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Molarity Abacus sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Pocket Counter Pro sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 3 months. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pocket Counter Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 15 and 6 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Molarity Abacus's written reviews are positive against 75% of Pocket Counter Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Molarity Abacus ships an update every 12 months, Pocket Counter Pro monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
