# Neo Notes vs QuickNotes X

The clearest difference is rating: QuickNotes X at 4.3 against Neo Notes's 2.3. QuickNotes X also leads on ratings volume (3.8K vs 41). Neo Notes's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 11) and iOS requirement (9.1 vs 16.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. QuickNotes X sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 3 months. Neo Notes asks for nothing beyond the download.

QuickNotes X holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: QuickNotes X has 3.8K ratings behind it against 41, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 41% of Neo Notes's written reviews are positive against 38% of QuickNotes X's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Neo Notes ships an update every 2 months, QuickNotes X every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on June 11, 2026 and September 26, 2026 respectively.
