# Room Capture vs TELLO

The clearest difference is rating: TELLO at 3.3 against Room Capture's 1.8. TELLO also leads on ratings volume (800 vs 5) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 4 months). Room Capture's advantage is review sentiment (40% vs 31%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

TELLO holds the better App Store score, 3.3 against 1.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TELLO has 800 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of Room Capture's written reviews are positive against 31% of TELLO's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Room Capture ships an update every 4 months, TELLO every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
